‘Good health is good business.’
I am sure that the management likes a healthy workforce, well that’s why there are several medical check ups before the start of your employment right? and primarily because based on statistics, healthy employees are more productive.


HRDs know that well being contributes to a healthy, happy, motivated and engaged workforce, lowering absence, keeping stress levels down – and arguably helping to retain employees. This will be more true especially in Business Processing sector where absenteeism is a no no because of the need to support the super demanding customers and that’s why most organizations under this sector exert so much effort for the well being and health of the employees.


Here’s a look at what recent studies have found.

  • Employees who eat healthy are 25 percent more likely to have higher job performance.

  • The same survey also found that employees who exercise for at least 30 minutes, three times a week, are 15 percent more likely to have higher job performance.

  • And, healthy employees take fewer sick days. Absenteeism is 27 percent lower for those workers who eat healthy and regularly exercise.

  • Healthy employees reduce healthcare costs.
