Handling 10 employees is hard already, they have different views, different mindsets and different ways to execute the project so what more if you are handling 7000. The success of the company is basically came from the success of the backbone of the organization which is the manpower, so basically your success as the manager is their success also. The more they will grow and thrive, the more empower they will become.

So how to empower and engage them? I know it is not easy but based on the different research, there are ways.

  1. Decision Making. Some bosses tends to micromanage which hinders the employees to do more. Give them time to execute and make their own decisions which of course always by the approval of the immediate supervisor but in that way, you let them spread their wings and freedom to act. Listen to their suggestions and don’t cut it right away, check and balance with them to have a fair decision.
  2. Do not compare. Each employees have their own rockstar persona, you just needs to know their hidden talent and capabilities. Discover what each person does best. Find better ways to support each other. Give them a future to look forward to.
  3. It is hard to get a new set of manpower. Imagine another orientation, training or even setting their mindset into the organizations culture. High turnover rate of manpower meaning a problem to solve. It is about the company not about them. If you have a career growth path to your employees, better to tell it to them. Work is life and the life that we all want is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Give something that can benefit both. A win win situation.

Training is one way to give the employees an enlightening moment they need, it gives skills and time to communicate more with their colleagues and bosses. Just recently Elabram Systems Indonesia just had an annual training to empower and to engage the employees more. The biggest manpower from Elabram Systems Group came from this country so the Group Managing Director, Mikel Yaw flew from Malaysia to join the team. The training was held at Hotel Mansion Prasada and conducted by M- Knows Consulting.[:zh]Handling 10 employees is hard already, they have different views, different mindsets and different ways to execute the project so what more if you are handling 7000.
