In different side of the world, Breakfasting is an uncommon term but in the other side, it’s what they do during Iftar in the month of Ramadan. The Muslims holy month of Ramadan started last month, Thursday, 17th May of 2018 and majority of Muslims around the world celebrated Iftar with their family, colleagues and friends.

Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. Muslims break their fast at the time of the call to prayer for the evening prayer.

In Elabram Systems Indonesia, we always celebrates this moment with all employees with what we call ,Breakfasting and invite everyone that includes consultants to join this celebration and happened last May 25, 2018 with the Deputy Managing Director Sunny Yaw and Bapak Yoris Rusamsi.

“After short speech by Management, we closed the event by praying together and breakfasting at 05.46 pm. After the breakfasting, we continue with the lucky draw and five (5) lucky staffs received cash vouchers from the company.” – HR

In Indonesia, Iftar is called “buka-puasa”, which means “to open the fast”. Markets sell various food and drink such as kolak, es kelapa muda, es buah, es campur, cendol or dawet. Most of them are only found during Ramadan. Iftar is usually done by eating these sweets, as inspired by Propet’s Sunnah of eating dates, and this small meal is known as Takjil.
